On July 10, 2012, the family of Clara Belle Judd celebrated her transition to be with her Lord after almost 91 years on this earth. Clara IS a great lady (there is no WAS in God's eternal kingdom). Clara was the wife of the late Robert William Judd. Her parents and one sister also preceded her in death. She was born on August 9, 1921 in a farm house in central Iowa, grew up on a farm near Clarion, Iowa, went to a nearby teachers college and taught in a one room school house near her family farm. She married Robert Judd in 1944. At the time of their marriage he was a Captain and B-25 pilot in the Army Air Corps serving in the South Pacific. She is survived by her five children - Pat (Gary) Faust, Ellisville, MO; Thomas (Susan) Judd, Excelsior, MN; Marilyn (Bob) Smith, Sydney, Australia; William (Wendy) Judd, Deephaven, MN, and Rosalind (Dave) Berndt, Bloomington, IL. She is also survived by her sister, Normadeen Gibson, Mesa, AZ. Clara left fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and friends filled her life with joy and love. A memorial celebration will be held at the First Christian Church, 3601 S. Staley Rd, Champaign, Il 61822 at 11:30am on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Prior to the services a time of visitation will be provided from 10:00a.m. until the service begins. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Churches Disability Ministry, 3123 Pride Road, Louisville, PO Box 310, TN 37777, where Clara's grandson Scott is a resident, or Cookson Hills Christian Ministry, RR3, Box 200, Kansas, OK 74347.
