URBANA, IL- Clara Ruth Butler, 82, of Urbana, died at 5:40 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital., Urbana.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 708 W. Main St., Urbana. Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate.

Mrs. Butler was born August 28, 1925 at Sidney, IL, a daughter of Joseph and Della Huckleberry White. She married Leonard J. Butler on February 11, 1950 at Urbana. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2003. Survivors include a son, Damian J. Butler and wife, Kathy of Tolono; a daughter, Teresa J. Butler of Urbana; two step-grandchildren: Erik Pettit and wife, Bobbie and Amy Gilliland. 5 step-great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Isabella, E.J. Devon and Brenna. Two brothers: Louis White and wife, Viola of Sidney and John White and wife, Sylvia of Spring Hill, Fla.; a sister, Marjorie Brewer of Champaign, and a sister-in-law, Doris White of Sidney. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Paul.

Mrs. Butler was a bookkeeper for the Champaign-Urbana News Agency and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana. She was also a member of the St. Patrick's Guild.
