Christine Wilson Apperson, 91, of Urbana died at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thurs. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, the Rev. Mike Smith officiating, burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thurs. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Apperson was born on Dec. 3, 1915 in Etna, the daughter of Font Logan and Zola B. Storm Wilson, and step-daughter of Eva Lena Hammond Wilson, she married Arthur L. Apperson on Oct. 5, 1937 in Davenport, Iowa, and he died on Nov. 30, 1982.

Survivors include two sons; Rex (Vicky) Apperson of Urbana and Lee (Nancy) Apperson of Champaign, two brothers; Dale Wilson of Albuquerque, NM and Delbert Wilson of Stockton, CA, three sisters; Vivian Harmon of Urbana, Bev Kammerer of Mahomet and Betty Rector of Casper,WY, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mrs. Apperson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Urbana, the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and she enjoyed traveling.
