Christina Ann Fiscus, 62, of Urbana passed away at her home Wednesday, September 25, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2013 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 4112 W. Bloomington Rd., Champaign. Pastor Rich Gregory will officiate.

Ms. Fiscus was born November 7, 1950 in Champaign, Illinois to parents Charles Oscar and Opal (Pendley) Samuels. Survivors include sons, Michael and Robert Fiscus, sisters, Charlene and Carolyn, and grandson, Seth. Christina was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Timothy and Randall.

Ms. Fiscus worked for many years at Burnham Hospital in Champaign. She then began work at the University of Illinois in the English Multimedia Department. During this time, she also worked the night shift at the Urbana County Market. After retiring from the University, Christina's caring nature compelled her to seek work privately as a CNA before taking a position at the Cunningham Children's Home.

Ms. Fiscus loved serving her community and family. She donated plasma and briefly taught Sunday school at the Church of Christ in St. Joseph. Her sons have fond memories of their time in Cub Scouts, with their mother as the Cub Scout Director. She especially delighted in helping care for her grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made in Christina's honor to the Cunningham Children's Home.
