Charles Burton Wingstrom 91 of Champaign died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wingstrom was born on July 15, 1921 in Evanston, the son of Gustaf and Nellie Rydell Wingstrom. He married Patricia Arseneau on September 28, 1946 in Evanston, she survives.

Also surviving are three children; Charlotte Wingstrom, Pat (Mike) Beaird and Paul (Nancy) Wingstrom and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son; Andy Wingstrom.

Mr. Wingstrom was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WW II where he was stationed in the Philippines.

Mr. Wingstrom retired from the University of Illinois.
