Charles Ed White, 77, of Champaign, passed away at 10:18 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at C-U Regional Rehab Center, Savoy. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 12th at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13th at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Rev. J. Michael Smith will officiate.

Mr. White was born September 8, 1935 in Urbana to parents Russell and Evelyn (Shaffer) White. He married Sue Lower May 3, 1997 in Urbana; she survives.

Other survivors include son; Michael (Sharyne) White, of Momence, step-daughter; Georgia (Philip) Hash, of Plainfield, brothers; John White, of Phoenix, Arizona, Wayne White, of Champaign, Larry White, of Fithian, and sister; Delores Decker, of Fithian. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Bob White, and son; Mark White.

Mr. White worked as a painter for the University of Illinois. He was also a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3075.
