Charles Roger Buirley, 61, of Urbana died 11:21 A.M. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2007 from 2-6 P.M. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. All other services are private.

Charles Roger Buirley was born October 2, 1946 in Tuscola, IL the son of Charles Cleo and Ethel Nadine Pribble Buirley. He married Becky Brown August 6, 1967 in Urbana. She survives.

Survivors include two daughters Angelia (Joel) Christine Burroughs of Philo, Jennifer (Roger) Elaine Williams of Farmer City, a sister Roberta Christine Tock of Champaign, three grandchildren Wynn Charles Burroughs, Savanna Sue Williams, and Roger Garrett Williams.

Mr. Buirley served in the US Navy from 1964 to 1968. He worked as a fire fighter for the Urbana Fire Department for 26 years and 9 months. After retiring from the fire department he worked at Busey Bank in maintenance. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
