- Charles R.(Bob) Bright passed away November 7th quietly, surrounded by family at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

He was born December 26, 1929 in Urbana, IL, a son of Elden Frank and Alice Inez Bright. He married Barbara Jean Eskew on July 7, 1951 in Long Beach, California. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three sons, James Bright of Mahomet, Chuck Bright(Janet) of Champaign, and Mitchell Bright of Ofallon, MO; 5 grandchildren, Laura Kiper, Andy Bright, Michael Bright, Ashley Bright and Pat Bright; two great-grandchildren, Joselyn Kiper and Jaxon Bright.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Charles Bright was a graduate of Urbana High School. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy of the USS Rochester from 1948-1952 and he was a sales representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance. His biggest joys in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
