Cecylia (Matyszczyk) Bordua, 88, of Urbana passed away at 8:20 A.M. on Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cecylia was born on May 22, 1927 in New Britain, Connecticut to parents Clemens and Appolonia (Kaminska) Matyszczyk. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Peter, Lucian, Ladislau, Stanley and Henry.

In 1951 she married David J. Bordua in New Britain, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Joseph D. Bordua of Urbana, Jessica DeMay (James) of Mineral, VA and two grandchildren, Rachel and Madeline.

She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish in New Britain and attended the Parish school through the ninth grade. Cecylia was a 1947 graduate of New Britain High School she was also a graduate of Moody's Business School. She worked as a secretary/office manager for the Farmer's Home Administration, University of Connecticut, Harvard University and the Ann Arbor Red Cross before moving to Urbana in 1964. She was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana.
