Cathy J. Elischer, 66, of Fisher, formerly of Berwyn, IL passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Berwyn, the daughter of Clarence and Jean (Yanchuck) Serafiniak.

Cathy is survived by her daughters- Alexis (Nicholas) Roberts of Fisher and Ashley (Christopher) Geber of Quinnesecc, MI.

Proud Aye Aye (Grandma) to Mia, Scarlett, Tallulah, and Tatum. Sibling to Deb, Lynn, and Scott and Aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.

She is preceded by her parents Clarence and Jean Serafiniak.

Cathy worked for many years as a senior caregiver and loved taking care of those around her. She enjoyed baking, the beach, gardening, Cheeto puffs, and Diet Pepsi.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Katherine Nature Center on September 25 th , 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00pm.

Preceding the Celebration of Life, there will be a memorial mass at Saint Pias X Church in Stickney, Illinois, at 10:00 a.m.
