Homer, IL - Catherine Elise Chidlaw Williams, 53, of Champaign, IL, passed away on June 13, 2019.

Cathy was born on December 22, 1965 to the late Ina McGuire. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her niece, Natalie Chidlaw.

Surviving are her daughters Casey Clapp of IL and Lyndsey Lance of TN; sisters JoAnn (Tim) Trost of NC, Ruth (Dave) Johnson of IL, June (Michael) Adamio of NC, and Jamie Brauer of NC; brother William Chidlaw of NC; one grandchild Kooper Clapp of IL; caregiver Lori (John) Blacker of IL and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend she was. Cathy was known for the wonderful love she shared and could easily sit and laugh to make others feel comfortable and loved. Alongside her love, she was well established in her reading of romance novels and continual knowledge about antiques.

Without a doubt, Cathy genuinely loved the people closest to her as they loved her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, June 17, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM the following day at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mayview, IL.
