Carolyn Hornbeck (nee Voss) died peacefully on April 24, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Hornbeck. She is survived by second cousins, Thomas and James Meharry of Catlin, Illinois and Jane Aufmuth of Woodbury, Minnesota as well as numerous friends.

Carolyn was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was active throughout her life in numerous charitable activities, including coordinating volunteers at Booth Hospital and serving on the Board of the Covington Ladies Home. Carolyn was a long time member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Ft. Mitchell Country Club and a charter member of the Metropolitan Club.

A Burial Mass will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on May 1, 2015 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Urbana, Illinois.

Memorials are suggested to the Covington Ladies Home or the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
