URBANA, IL- Caroline Adora Scalzo, 83, of Urbana, Illinois, and formerly of Elmwood Park, IL, Dundee, IL and Ventura, CA, passed away at 2:34 A.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Caroline was born January 16, 1931 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Harvey and Minerva(Smith) Johnston. She married Phillip Scalzo on November 12, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Grove of Rantoul, IL, and Janis Badilla of Champaign, IL, and a granddaughter, Ryann Grove of Champaign.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters, Dorothy, Muriel and Betty.
