Carol Peterson, 73, of Danville formerly from Urbana passed away at 5:46 p.m. on March 11, 2026, at Labella of Danville.

She was born in Champaign, IL the daughter of Caroll & Gloria (Spencer) Gonder. She married Charles Edward Peterson. He passed away on January 19, 2016.

Carol is survived by her sons- Robert Peterson & Jonathan Peterson both of Urbana, Thomas Peterson of Rantoul; brother- Russell Gonder of Urbana; sister-Marylee Gruver

She is preceded by her parents and husband Charles ;brother- Charles Raymond Gonder ;sister- Rachel Klammer.

Carol graduated from Champaign Central High School.
