Carmen Rosalie Rucker, 92, of Urbana passed away at 9:51 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Carmen was born on August 29, 1927 in Decatur, Illinois to parents Harry and Ida (Whitsitt) Best. She attended and graduated from Decatur High School. In 1946 Carmen married Warren Osborne in Decatur, Illinois. He passed away in 1968. She worked for over 30 years at Lauhoff Grain Company in Danville and will be missed by many friends there. In 2005, she started the monthly Lauhoff Retirees Luncheon and faithfully monitored its activities until last year.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Warren, and her sister Marjorie Dannewitz.

Survivors include her sons, Warren Osborne of Decatur Illinois, and John (Susan) Osborne of Urbana Illinois; her sister Judith Wilkerson of Norfolk Virginia; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Carmen was a twenty-year survivor of breast cancer. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cremation rights have been accorded. There will be no services at this time.
