Reva Carmen Busch, 88 of Urbana, died at 7:27 p.m. Monday, November 2 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. J. Michael Smith will officiate. Burial with military honors will be at noon on Friday, November 6 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. Mrs. Busch was born December 13, 1920 at Easton, IL, the daughter of John D. and Jessie D. (VanEtten) Shute. She married Lt. Col. Robert E. Busch (Ret.) on November 11, 1945 at Parris Island, SC and he survives. She also is survived by children; Nancy S. Whitlock (Larry) of Berlin, MD, Col. Robert E. Busch II (Ret.) (Susan) of Bradenton, FL, John L. Busch (Stephanie) of Charlottesville, VA and Dr. Joseph M. Busch (Janet) of Tuscan, AZ, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. John Shute. Mrs. Busch received a BS in Home Economics at the University of Illinois and was a high school teacher for a short time at Christman High School. She enlisted in the Navy and was a Pharmacist Mate 2nd Class and worked as a Lab Technician at Parris Island, SC during WWII. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
