Carlos Albarracin, 74, of Champaign passed away at 10:50 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. A memorial mass will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Church of St. Mary, 612 East Park Street, Champaign.

Mr. Albarracin was born February 2, 1938 in Argentina to parents Carmen Ponce de Leon and Alejandro Albarracin. He married Marta R. Durantini in Argentina December 12, 1964; she survives.

Also surviving are daughters; Dolores Albarracin, of Champaign, Julia Albarracin of Macomb, son; Carlos T. Albarracin (Andrea Alban-Davis), of New York, and grandchildren; Angelita Repetto, Martin Repetto, Amelia Albarracin, Tomas Albarracin, and close family friend; Martin Repetto. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Albarracin was an attorney in Argentina. After retiring, he and his wife moved to the United States in 2003 to be near family. He was a member of the Illinois Club, and enjoyed politics, reading, soccer, and traveling.
