Carl Dean Peters, Jr. 70 of Arcola, formerly of Champaign, died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday February 25, 2012 at Arcola Healthcare Services. Memorial services will be held at a later date with private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Peters was born January 11, 1942 in Urbana, the son of Carl Dean and Elizabeth Shaw (Auld) Peters. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Shaw of Champaign, sister, Becky Cacioppo of Champaign and a brother, John Peters of Gloucester, Va. He is preceded in death by his father Carl Dean, Sr. and step father Carroll Shaw.
