Carl L. Johnson, 65 of Paxton died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Gibson City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, the Rev. Jeff Cottingham officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born on April 27, 1944 in Paxton, the son of Carl Walter and Opal Maxine Elliott Johnson.

Survivors include two brothers; Paul L. Johnson of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Wesley A. Johnson of Champaign.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Johnson worked as a grounds keeper and janitor at the Paxton School Dist and also at Switchcraft in Paxton.

Mr. Johnson was a member of First Lutheran Church in Paxton.
