URBANA, IL- F. Bruce Shurts, 64, of Urbana, died at 2:42 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. John Sims will officiate. A visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday, November 10th, 2006.

Mr. Shurts was born March 17, 1942 at Urbana, the son of Robert A. and Ruth V. Mason Shurts. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Shurts of Urbana, IL, and 3 Step Daughters: Johnnie Lansford of Fairfield, PA, Jamie Procnow and Jackie Beck, both of Rimrock, AZ. Also, 6 Step Grandchildren survive.

He graduated from University High School and earned a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois. He worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company and later worked for his father at Automatic Music. He was an avid gun shooter, collector and enjoyed playing golf and playing pool.
