Britt McLeod, 75, of Urbana, died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the VA Illiana Medical Center in Danville, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 2 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana. Rev. Richard McGuire will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post #71.

Britt was born on June 24, 1942 in Penfield, IL, the son of Richard E. and Rosabell (England) McLeod. Survivors include sons, Timothy Wilson McLeod of Urbana and Britt Eugene McLeod; grandson, Timothy Wesley McLeod of Urbana "the light of his life". He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard, Norman and Morris, and a sister, Doris.

Britt graduated from Urbana High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Britt worked as a tool and die maker and retired from Vesuvius USA. He was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed flying and fishing. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #71 and the VFW Post #630, Urbana.
