Brenda E. Gipson, 61, of Urbana, died 7:45 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at The Carle Arbours in Savoy. Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Monday, July 20 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation one hour prior to service time. Rev. Jim High will officiate.

Ms. Gipson was born January 29, 1948 at Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Van A. and Danola M. (Croft) Graham. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle D. Alexander of Berea, Kentucky; a son, Lawrence W. Gipson of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters, Sandy Hall of Effingham, Norma Graham of Urbana, three grandchildren, two great-grandchild and life companion, Robert Felty of Urbana. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Ms. Gipson attended Champaign Schools and was employed by Gill Athletics.
