Blanche Treat, 86 of Urbana devoted mother and grandmother peacefully passed from this life and joined hands with her savior at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Brent Roberson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Treat was born on September 8, 1920 in Marshall, Arkansas, the daughter of John Daniel and Martha Melinda Garrison Treadwell, she married Victor Eli Treat on June 11, 1938 in Marshall, Arkansas, and he died on June 7, 1988.

Survivors include three sons; Bobby (Susan) Treat of Thomasboro, Billy Treat of Urbana, and Victor (Sharon) Treat Jr. of Champaign, two daughters; Jeanette (Larry) Ford and Vicki (David) Treat of Urbana, one brother; John Daniel Treadwell of Denver, Colorado, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Treat was a homemaker who also helped her husband in building Victor Treat and Sons Drywall Company. She enjoyed working in her garden, doing word searches and watching soap operas. She derived great pleasure from her grandchildren and always looked forward to visits from Paige, Dalton and Rylee. She was blessed to be surrounded by many caregivers including; Rose, Lil, Debbie, Summer, Frankie, Mary, Brady, Erica, Mark and Penny.

Mrs. Treat leaves to her family and friends a legacy of love, kindness and compassion. Her caring ways and deep faith will forever be embossed in their hearts.
