Blanche G. Dilley of Urbana died at 12:12 p.m., Sept. 28 at Green Cove Springs, Florida. Private family graveside services will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Urbana. There will be no visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dilley was born July 20, 1920 in Urbana, a daughter of Frank B. Webber and Grace Martens Webber. She married Collins Dilley on Sept. 16, 1939 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1994.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Dilley and two grandsons, Daniel B. Dilley and John Mark Dilley and a great granddaughter, Brittany Dilley, great grandson Andrew Beck and a great grandson Joshua Dilley all of Panama City, Florida. She is also survived by a sister, Florence M. Frank of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Captain Gary L. Dilley, a great grandson and two sisters.

Mrs. Dilley worked for Time Incorporated and Life Magazine and the University of Illinois Ice Rink (that was made into a work area during WWII). She also worked at Robesons Department Store and at Gould's in Champaign. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the United Federal Postal Clerks for 25 years and held many offices in Urbana working in legislation. Mrs. Dilley also worked in several presidential campaigns including President Ronald Regan and met some of the presidents and their children.

She is a member of Webber Street Church of Christ. She was a Cub Scout Den mother at Webber School and active in the PTA. Mrs. Dilley also was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW Post 630. She was a graduate of the Urbana High School and the great granddaughter of George G. Webber who was one of the original settlers of 1860 in Urbana.
