URBANA, IL- William "Bill" Holloway, 84, of Urbana, died at 2:00 A.M., Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 16, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, 304 S. Race St., Urbana. Rev. John Sims will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Cemetery, Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holloway was born May 20, 1923 at Kansas City, MO, a son of Daniel H. and Virginia Elizabeth Warren Holloway. He married Mary Louise Zimerman on June 18, 1948 in Kansas. She preceded in death on April 28, 2005. Survivors include a son, Richard Warren Holloway of Champaign, IL and a daughter, Lucy Stevens of Rankin, IL. 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother.

Mr. Holloway attended Baker University in Kansas City, MO and graduated from the University of Kansas, where he received his Master's Degree. He served in U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, having worked at an Artillery Range in the European Theatre. He was a teacher for Kansas City School District while in Kansas City and after moving to Illinois, he taught English and History for the Rantoul School District. After retirement, he worked as an overnight delivery driver for Purolator and he also worked for Channel 12.

Mr. Holloway was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Urbana. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
