Bill J. Frank, 65, of Urbana passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 after battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 30 years.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7 from 1-2pm at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Following the visitation, there will be a memorial service at 2pm. Due to high risk factors, masks are required to enter the building. Casual and/or Cubs attire are strongly encouraged.

Bill was born on February 11, 1956, in Sterling, IL to parents Clarence and Eunice (Steele) Frank. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1973. During his career, Bill worked in retail management and in insurance sales.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 46 years, Rhonda (Miatke); children, Josh (Jillian) Frank of Dayton, ME, Erin (Grant) Wade of Sullivan, IL, Richie (Jenny) Frank of Cheltenham, PA, Makenzie (Kevin) Aka of Louisville, KY; 12 grandchildren; his mother; and siblings, Doug, Barb, Roger, Lois, Betty, and Gary.

Bill was preceded in death by his father and siblings, Klem, Harold, and Rick.

Anyone who knew Bill knows the things that mattered to him most: family, faith, and his beloved Chicago Cubs. His sharp-wittedness served him well during family game nights of Trivial Pursuit and his daily crossword puzzles. His sense of humor will always be remembered.

Despite life not always being kind to him, Bill tried to serve his community in a variety of ways through church as well as athletic and community organizations. He left this world with one final gift - donating his tissues for MS research.
