Beverly Catherine (Kate) Orwick, 88, of Urbana, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Champaign County Nursing Home. She was born August 27, 1927 in Catlin, Illinois; the daughter of William and Gladys Cook. She married Raymond Eugene Orwick on May 2, 1947. They had five children and she spent most of her life as a caregiver to her daughter, Beverly.

Kate is survived by her brother Ray Harold (Fern) Cook, of Champaign, daughter, Beverly Orwick, of Urbana, sons Raymond (Joyce) Orwick of Broadlands, Robert Orwick, of Fairmount, and John (Daneen) Orwick, of Urbana, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, with three more expected in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister, her husband, daughter Gladys Chapman, and son-in-law, David Chapman.

A memorial reception will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.
