Betty Walker Morey of Urbana, formerly of Philo and Galesburg IL, passed away on February 8, 2011 at the Champaign County Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Tolono in Tolono, IL on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with burial following at Locust Grove Cemetery in Philo, IL.

Betty was born on January 19, 1925 to James and Martha Rock. The oldest of 11 children, Betty was raised in the Ellisville, IL area.

She married Neil Walker of Olney, IL on November 1, 1941. He preceded her in death. She later married Frank Marnel Morey of Galesburg, IL on September 19, 1992. He precedes her in death.

She is survived by her two children Peggy Riegel of Urbana and David (Joan) Walker of Philo; two step children, Susie (Tom) Davis-Avery and Ruby (Jobe) Howard; four grandchildren, Kory (Karen) Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Lori Jones of Portland, OR, Kyle (Stephanie) Walker of Tuscola and Kara (Shawn) Walker of Broadlands; three step grandchildren, Lester Davis, Clinton Davis, and Michael Howard; six great grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Betty retired from the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed reading and sewing.
