Betty B Howell of Urbana passed away on March 2, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. at Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

Mrs. Howell was born on September 6, 1919 in Cheyenne Wyoming, the daughter of Jack and Winifred Blair. She married Robert W Howell on September 25, 1940 in Cheyenne. Mrs. Howell graduated from Cheyenne High School class of 1937. She was a stay at home Mom who was a fabulous cook, an excellent bridge player, a cross word solver, a wonderful dancer and a fabulous role model as a parent and grandparent.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Chuck Choate of Ocean Pines, Maryland, two sons and daughters-in-law Rich and Patti Howell of Bourbonnais, Wayne and Pam Howell of Algonquin; grandchildren Matt Choate of New York, Rob Choate of Virginia, Neil (Jayme) Harvey of Florida, Alex and Max Howell of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, her parents and one sister, Jane Tottenhoff.

Visitation will be held at the Renner Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Road in Urbana Thursday, March 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Urbana followed by entombment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 611 E Pennsylvania, Champaign. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate.
