Betty (White) Donoho, 89, of Urbana, died 6:15 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19 at Roselawn Cemetery, Champaign. Rev. Steven Shoemaker will officiate.

Mrs. Donoho was born in Forest County, Wisconsin, September 28, 1919, the daughter of Orris Harold and Beatrice (Liberty) Underwood. She married Robert H. White, Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1961. She married J. Gaylord Donoho and he preceded her in death April 10, 1991. She is survived by a daughter, Mary White Squires (Tim) of Fort Myers, Fla., Son, Robert H. White, Jr. of Mobile, Ala., and step-sons, Mike Donoho of Champaign, Randy Donoho (Georgena) of Urbana, and Kevin Donoho (Cindy) of Urbana, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by parents, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Donoho was a 1937 graduate of Beloit, WI High School. She was a teller at Champaign County Bank and Trust and was later Secretary for Urbana School District for many years and was a member of Community United Church of Christ. She enjoyed animals and in lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.
