Betty J. Carrington, 84, of Urbana died at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 702 W. Main St., Urbana, IL 61801. Father Mike Adrie will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 25 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL 61802.

Mrs. Carrington was born in Flint, MI, the daughter of James Wesley Bradburn and Delilah White. She married Charles Carrington on January 13, 1945 in Flint, MI. She worked for 29 years as a sales clerk for Carson Piere Scott and Co. She was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Champaign Sports Club, and Boots and Bows Square Dance Club. Mrs. Carrington was preceded in death by her daughter, parents, three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, son, Charles Carrington, Jr., of Urbana, two sisters, Geraldine Jones, of Flint, MI, and Arlene Leazenby, of Logansport, IN, three brothers, Wesley Bradburn, of Linden, MI, George Bradburn, of Flint, MI, and Leroy Bradburn, of Granbury, TX, six grandchildren, Jarid, Jody, Alexis, Allie, Victoria, and Austin, and one great grandson, Nathan.
