Bess Tilla Ozora Bauer, 90, of Beloit, WI, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in her home surrounded by all her loving children. She was born January 16, 1923 in Crittenden TWP, Champaign, IL, the daughter of Ira and Barbara (Shott) Surber. Bess attended schools in Urbana, IL. She married Robert J. Bauer in November of 1964. He predeceased her on May 25, 2008. Bess was employed by J. L. Clark in Rockford, IL. She also dairy farmed with her husband, Robert. Bess was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Zoretta Hernandez of NV, Deanea (Robert) Soukup of IA, Ronald (Martha) Smith of WI, Renee (Kim) Robb of NV, and Theresa Lindquester of WI; 20 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 33 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Olen (Mable) and Roy (Bernice), (infant brother), Johnny, sisters, Velva (Ben) and Blanche (Roy), son-in-law, Jesse Hernandez II, grandchildren, Jesse Hernandez III, Rhonda Lowe and Paige Johnson. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61802. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview, IL. Mom will be our forever Valentine!
