Bernice H. Gifford 91 of Champaign died at 10:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Helia Healthcare center, Champaign.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 30, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gifford was born on September 19, 1920 in Milledgeville, the daughter of George and Dorothea Shiley Dambman. She married Richard Gifford in October 1943; he died on October 30, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter; Pam Carrillo of Champaign, one son; Rick (Sue) Gifford of Edmond, Washington, one sister; Donna Woodin of Pekin, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Gifford was a nursery school teacher.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Champaign. She loved kids.
