Beatrice Steelman 91 of Tolono died at 12:39 a.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Royal Oak Cemetery, Brookville, Ohio. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Steelman was born on May 29, 1921 in Frenchburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Roy and Leona Wilson Buchanan. She married Ray Steelman in September 1944 in Dayton, Ohio; he died on May 2, 1990.

Survivors include one daughter; Carol (Jack) Smith of Tolono, one grandson; Todd (Stacy) Smith of Pesotum and two great granddaughters; Carsyn and Maddie.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; Cash, Bernie and James Buchanan.

Mrs. Steelman was a member of the Antioch Methodist Church in Trotwood, Ohio.

She loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading and gardening.
