Beatrice May Carlson, 89, of Savoy passed away at 8:40 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2012 at C-U Regional Rehab Center in Savoy.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Mattis Ave. Free Methodist Church, 1913 S. Mattis Ave., Champaign, Illinois. Pastor Herb Coates will officiate.

A second memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery Chapel in Princeton, Illinois. Pastor John Weborg will officiate. A light lunch will follow the service at the Covenant Children's Home.

Mrs. Carlson was born November 3, 1922 in Rockford, Illinois to parents C. Arthur and Hulda (Holm) Nelson. She married William Ernest Carlson on October 14, 1949 in Rockford. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2001. Survivors include sons; David Carlson (Carol), of Peoria, Randy Carlson (Sandy), of Bartonville, daughter; Christine Joslin (Jeff), of Mahomet; brother; Richard Nelson (Jean), of Suquamish, Washington, grandchildren; Adam Carlson (Jennifer), of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Barry Carlson, of Peoria, Calvin Joslin, of Nashville, Tennessee, Beck Joslin, of Nashville, Tennessee, Janice Murray (Thomas), of Bartonville, and one great granddaughter; Linnea Grace Murray. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Corrine Palmquist, and a grandson; Aaron Carlson.

Mrs. Carlson resided most of her married life in Princeton, where she was an active member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She was a homemaker and attended Mattis Ave. Free Methodist Church.
