Barbara P. Walters, 89 of Urbana died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008 at Meadowbrook Healthcare Center, Urbana.

Private family services will be held. Entombment will be in Mt. Hope Mausoleum, Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walters was born on October 2, 1918 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Roy W. and Marie Hughes Pickett. She married Charles S. Walters on September 3, 1938 in Greenfield, Indiana; he died on October 9, 1997.

Survivors include two sons: Charles W. (Sally) Walters of Woodstock, Virginia and Thomas D. (Bonita) Walters of Henderson, Texas, one brother: Richard M. Pickett of Greenfield, Indiana, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Walters was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church, Urbana.
