Barbara Jean Valentine Lain, 88, of Urbana passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana. Pastor Robert Freeman will officiate. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Burial Park following the service.

Barbara was born in Champaign on December 27, 1929 to parents Murvin J. and Catherine M. (Clark) Valentine. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were three children, three brothers and one sister.

On November 10, 1946 she married Vernon Lain in Urbana; he passed away on October 6, 1976.

She is survived by her son, Danny Lain of Hubert, NC, her brother, Bill Valentine of Savoy and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
