Barbara J. Huffman (83) died July 1st, 2016, at Meadow Brook Health Center, after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.

Barbara was born in Bondville, IL February 22, 1933 to William (Bill) and Laura Giesler. Preceeding her in death were 5 siblings, Louis Giesler, Paul Giesler, Marjorie Giesler Beauregard, Marvin Jack Giesler, Bobby Giesler and her parents.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Merrill Huffman, 5 children; Cathy Huffman, Michael (Dawn) Huffman, Beth Huffman Voss, David Huffman, Ann Huffman Rauh and 11 grand children.

Barbara grew up in Champaign Urbana and graduated from Champaign High School in 1951.

Barbara was an accomplished artist, winning awards in many local and regional competitions. She was also passionate about tennis, and fitness, gourmet cooking, traveling and loved her Boxer dogs.

She was a Life member of the Carle Auxillary and had a special place in her heart for the Carle Guest House.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8th, 10am with a reception following at 11am at the First United Methodist Church, 210 W. Church St, Champaign, IL 61820
