Arthur K. Lampman 76, of Urbana died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

There will be no services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lampman was born on January 21, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the son of Norman and Ruth Goodrich Lampman. He married Betty Jean Wilson on July 5, 1933 in Salina, Kansas; she died on April 2, 2008.

Survivors include one son Steve Lampman of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, one daughter Geri Barbee of Mahomet, one grandson, two step grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mr. Lampman retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years.

He was a member of the Lakeland Bass Masters, was an avid fisherman and bowler. He received his horticulture certificate and his real estate license.
