Arnett Hunt, 66, of Urbana died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hunt was born on August 7, 1942 in Chicago, the son of Arnett Hunt Sr. and Marie Peters Hunt Patton. He married Gloria Smith Amos Hunt on May 1, 1991, she survives.

Also surviving are one son; Robert Hunt of Schaumberg, one daughter; Simona Farrise of San Francisco, CA, one step-son; Steven Amos of Glen Ellyn and one step-daughter; Carrie Lape of Lansing, seven brothers, three sisters and thirteen grandchildren.

Mr. Hunt was a self employed truck driver and a US Army and Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He was a past member of the Montford Point Marine Association; he was a coach with the Mustang Jr. Football League, he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and watching them play sports, boating and water skiing, he was a ham radio operator and a Chicago Bears Fan.
