Anita Susanne Kelly (57) of Urbana, Illinois passed away on April 17, 2012 at 1:00 A.M. The visitation will be held at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon on Friday, April 20th, 2012. The graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:30 P.M. at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Pennsylvania Ave. in Champaign.

Anita was born on June 28, 1954 in Urbana, IL. She is survived by her husband of 39 years James Kelly II, two daughters, Jaime Modglin of Lisle, IL, Katie Kelly of Urbana, IL, two grandchildren, Parker and Bryce Modglin, three older brothers, Randy, Danny, Mark Morris and a twin sister, Annette Susan Felkner of St. Joseph, IL, an in-law James Kelly Sr. of Urbana, IL, and Sister-in-law Cheryl Johnson of St. Joseph, IL. She is the oldest of twin daughters to Orval (deceased) and Peggy Morris, who survives. Other survivors are four nephews, Kevin Johnson (Brandon), Andrew Felkner(Carrie), Kevin Morris (Vickie), and Abraham; 9 nieces, Kelly Johnson(Eric), Megan Morris, Samantha Morris, Serena Felkner (Adam), Jessica, Hannah, Rachel, Sophie and Kolaina. Tina and Tasha were always cherished and considered as her third and fourth daughters.

In 1961 at the age of 7 she met Jim Kelly in the second grade. Twelve years later she accepted his marriage proposal and married him on July 8th 1973. Anita graduated from Urbana High school in 1972. She worked in the insurance business for 33 years. Diagnosed with a genetic disease that impaired her vision, she retired as office manager for the GTPS insurance agency in 2005.

She enjoyed shopping, exercising and eating out with her sister and sister-in-law. She always wanted to raise puppies but knew she would never be able to part with them. Anita loved to travel. She kept her luggage packed at all times and was ready to go when anyone asked her. Anita and her grandchildren traveled to Washington D.C., Mount Rushmore, the Bad Lands, Gettysburg and the Rocky Mountains. She enjoyed her home in Florida, seeing her nephew in Syracuse and a short trip north to see her niece. When both her daughters lived in Jacksonville, Florida she would insist on stopping by for a visit to see them and the rest of "the girls of fire."

When she wasn't traveling with her grandchildren she loved to go with friends to different resorts and casinos to play the slot machines. She visited over 50 casinos in her life time. Anita could sit and play for hours and what a grand and beautiful smile she would have when she hit the jackpot. She loved Illinois basketball and March Madness.

She was comforted in her last days by her sister and sister-in-law, relatives, friends, neighbors and the Carle hospital staff. For this our family is forever grateful.

Condolences may be offered at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, contributions may be made to Carle Hospice.
