Letitia "Angie" Prendergast 74 of Urbana died at 2:04 a.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 24, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana; Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 4:00- 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. There will be a Fire Department walk through at 6:00 P.M.

Mrs. Prendergast was born on September 22, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Velma (Dooley) Asche. She married James Prendergast on August 31, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico; he died on September 22, 1987.

Survivors include three children; Navara Prendergast of Urbana, Shan (Heather) Prendergast of Denver, Iowa and Tal Prendergast of Catlin, one sister; Ruth Ready of Temple, Texas and three grandchildren; Danielle Dodd, Luke Prendergast, and Emma Parkinson.

Mrs. Prendergast was a homemaker and worked in retail sales, customer service and Human Resources.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, Altrusa, Junior Women's Club, the Champaign-Urbana Welcome Club, and CU4Dinner. She was also an avid bridge player and she played with the Afternoon Bridge club.

Mrs. Prendergast was the Assistant Treasurer for The Illinois Club.
