SAVOY, IL- Amy Beth Thomas, 40, of Savoy, IL, passed away at 12:19 A.M., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Stone Creek Church, 2502 S. Race St., Urbana, IL. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M., Monday, November 23 also at Stone Creek Church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd.,Urbana, IL, is in charge of arrangements.

Amy was born on September 15, 1975 in Champaign, IL, a daughter of Richard and Marie (Skoirchet) Govert. She married Jason Thomas on April 19, 2008 in Urbana. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Madison Thomas of Savoy, her parents of Urbana, IL, and a brother, Michael Govert of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Amy graduated from Urbana High School and Illinois State University, where she received her Master's Degree in Special Education. She had worked as a teacher in the Urbana School District for the last 18 years. She loved reading and especially loved spending time with her daughter, Madison.
