Amy Lyn Campbell, 46, of Urbana passed away at 9:00 am Sunday (August 10, 2014) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A reception will be from 5 pm to 8 pm Wednesday August 13, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Amy was born September 5, 1967, in Champaign, the daughter of Steve and Diane Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle, her longtime companion, Larry Lukens, her mother, Diane Campbell, her father Steve (Diann), her brother, Sean (Mindy) and nephew Nick, nieces Kristen and Carsen, all of Urbana.

Many aunts, uncles and cousins, also survive her, mostly in central Illinois.

Her maternal and paternal grandparents and her kindred spirit, cousin Ron Campbell, preceded her in death.

Amy was involved in computer operations for many years starting at St. Joseph Data Service, then Super-Valu, Amdocs and Illinois American Water.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Karen White, the nurses and staff of Carle's Critical Care Unit for their compassionate care and support.

She loved family with all her heart. Her interests included trying to accumulate as many pairs of shoes as possible. Also, she was an avid reader, enjoyed riding her Harley Sportster and never found an animal (wild or domestic) that she wouldn't try to take home.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Amy's name may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.

She's in a safer, happier place.
