MAHOMET, IL-  Alice Marie Sax, 95, of Mahomet and formerly of Roselle, IL, passed away at 12:08 AM, Monday, October 12, 2020 at her residence.

There will be no public services.  Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alice was born October 26, 1924 in Boyd, Wisconsin, a daughter of Herbert and Jane (Strecker) Sukopp.  She married Arthur W. Sax on September 5, 1948 in Evanston, IL.  He preceded her in death on March 17, 1986.  Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen A. Goodyear of Roselle, IL and Gloria J. Sax (Neal Merchen) of Mahomet, IL; two grandchildren, Eric Goodyear and Ryan (Cristy) Goodyear, and one great-grandson.  She is also survived by three special nieces, Gayle (Ken) Thiele, Lynette (Kit) Robbins and Judy Nelson Estell.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Eileen Scott, Elvira Rosa Gesner, and step-sister Beatrice Talbot.
