Alice J. Dalton, age 65, of Philo, died 3:59 a.m. Fri., Mar. 2, 2007, at The Carle Arbours in Savoy, Ill. Funeral service will be at Zion Lutheran Church, 101 E. Van Buren St., Philo, at 10:00 AM Tuesday, Rev. Rich Tomlinson officiating. Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery in Philo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m. Mon. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Mrs. Dalton was born Mar. 1, 1942 in Champaign, the daughter of Cecil and Ruby J. Rawley Towner.

She married Edwin Dalton Nov. 26, 1961 at Philo. He survives. Also survived by a daughter Glenda Sue Dalton of Philo, a son William Dalton of White Heath, grandchildren; Jacob Kyle Dalton, Lucas William Dalton, Megan Jane Rawley, Gavin Page Rawley and a sister Gayle Fewer of Chicago. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Towner. Mrs. Dalton graduated from Unity High School, was employed by Philo Grade School as head cook for 23 yrs. and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philo.
