Alexander "Alex" James Torricelli, 24, of Champaign, passed away at 11:00 a.m., Sunday June 26th, 2016 at his home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Alexander was born May 29th, 1992 in Urbana, Illinois to parents Kenneth and Gina (Sutton) Torricelli; they survive. Maternal grandparents, Calvin and Maureen (Jones) Sutton also survive. Alexander was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nancy Jane (Maxey) and Reno Anthony Torricelli.

Alex attended St. Matthew Catholic School as a child. He then attended and graduated from Centennial High School before attending Parkland College. Alex was always a strong-willed daredevil, even as a boy, so it was no surprise when he became enamored with Motocross. For most of his life, one his favorite hobbies was competing in Motocross races. He also enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, and cruising. Trips to Dairy Queen with his mother were one of his favorite family traditions. Alex was loved very much and is now at peace.
