OAKWOOD, IL- Aaron Ross Mitchaner, 73, of Oakwood, IL, passed away on April 13, 2012 in Melbourne, Florida.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. Jim Blue will officiate. Burial will be held at Fairfield Cemetery, Newman, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Saturday, April 21, at the funeral home.

Mr. Mitchaner was born August 10, 1938 in Newman, IL, a son of Aaron and Debbie Edith Lee (Griffin) Mitchaner. He married Charlotte Jane Gudgel on March 21, 1980. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Tim Mitchaner(Kristy) of Urbana, IL, and Kevin Mitchaner(Chris) of Champaign, IL; three step-sons, Charles Ferrell(Margaret) of Rantoul, IL, Glenn Pittman, and James Pittman, both of Urbana,; one step-daughter, Madonna Natt(Marcus) of Danville, IL. 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Kathy Lee of Walterborough, S.C. and Lori Roe of Rantoul, IL also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Allen, a step-brother, Leon, and a step-sister, Eileen.

Mr. Mitchaner was a truck driver for Fuetz Construction in Paris, IL, and was a Teamster with Teamsters Local 26 for 35 years.
