Virginia "Ginny" Muhich

The Alto Angel, Virginia “Ginny” Muhich, 71, of Mahomet went to join the heavenly choir in the presence of her beloved Lord and Savior at 9:30 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was at peace and at home with her family. Memorial services will be held Thursday June 21, 2018 at 6:30 PM with visitation starting at 5:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 501 W. State St., Mahomet.  Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate.  A second service will be held Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM with visitation starting at 9:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI, Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint, MI.

Ginny was born December 28, 1946 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Roy and Pauline (Trebnik) DeShano. She married Frank Muhich on April 2, 1971 in Flint, MI and he survives. She is also survived by her sons; Mathew Muhich of Arlington Heights, IL, Kevin Muhich of Miami, FL and Brian Muhich of St. Cloud, FL and a daughter; Kristal Muhich of Kauai, HI. Brothers; Wayne DeShano of Swartz Creek, MI and Rick DeShano of Gaines, MI, a sister; Bea DeShano-McCarthy of Holly, MI and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carolyn Snyder.

Ginny attended St. Luke School and St. Agnes High School and Mott Community College in Flint, MI. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mahomet where she sang in the church choir. She was also a member of The Chorale and The Chorale’s social director for 36 years.
