Robert "Rob" Lund

Robert “Rob” Lund, 46, of Champaign, passed away at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 7:28 p.m.  A visitation will be held Thursday, August 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Rob was born January 2, 1972 to parents Linda K. (Wheeler) and Thomas J. Lund.  His mother preceded him in death. Survivors include his father, Thomas and stepmother, Joan Lund, of Champaign, three children: Tyler, Deidre, and Alexis Lund, of Chatham, sister, Lori Lund, of Champaign, nephew, Darrin Lund, of Champaign, and step-siblings, Jim Eisenkoff, of Bondville, and Katherine Pipes, of Fresno, California.

Mr. Lund attended Centennial High School before becoming a “jack of all trades.” He could fix or build anything, but his specialty was framing, carpentry, and metal work.

Rob Lund was a loving and caring, father, brother, uncle, and son. We all have great stories to tell of times spent and memories shared with Rob. He was tough as nails, yet held a heart of gold. He also believed in working hard and doing things the right way, all the while ensuring he was having fun along the way. If you ever called for help, he was always there. He passed suddenly and shocked us all, but keep his spirit with you. He is with us all, in memory and in spirit. We love you Rob, you will always be missed, but not forgotten.
